folio issue one is ready to launch! Join us on Friday 25th November at Banner Repeater
Banner Repeater is a contemporary art space located on Platform 1 of Hackney Downs overground station, London. It has a reading room which houses many artists' publications and other printed material. As an addition to this, folio will be having a selection of independent publications by Istanbul based collective Bandrolsüz, YH485 Press, Island Editions' first book Nova Cantabrigiensis and The Mays XIX.
We have also been working with designer Paul Bailey to explore ways of reinventing the physicality of printed material. He has created a new publication from copies of folioissue zero called 'A PLACE IS A SPACE WE GIVE MEANING', which will be on display at the launch.
We will be selling folio for a special 'launch price' of £5, for all the supportive friends who join us on the evening. Later on you'll be able to find copies in some great shops around the UK.
